ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Deloitte Advisory US, led by Richard Longstaff, held a meeting with Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik on Tuesday to explore strategic cooperation for strengthening Pakistan’s energy sector.
The discussion focused on leveraging Deloitte’s global expertise in risk advisory, digital transformation, and governance to address challenges and unlock opportunities in Pakistan’s oil, gas, minerals, and gemstone industries. Key themes included improving operational efficiency, mitigating risks, and promoting sustainable growth.
Minister Malik emphasized the government’s commitment to modernizing the energy sector and acknowledged the potential of international partnerships. “With Pakistan’s energy landscape evolving rapidly, collaboration with global firms like Deloitte is crucial for innovation and resilience,” he said.
Longstaff expressed strong interest in supporting Pakistan’s energy goals, stating, “Deloitte is honored to contribute to Pakistan’s strategic vision through expertise and solutions that drive long-term value.”
Sofyan Yusufi, Deloitte’s lead advisory partner, also shared insights on capacity-building and technology-driven initiatives. Both sides agreed to continue dialogue and identify concrete areas for future collaboration.
